The Center for Health Assessment Research and Translation (CHART) at the University of Delaware is looking for a full-time Research Associate I to assist our research faculty and scientists in carrying out grant-funded research projects. The Center aims to improve the quality of healthcare and quality of life for children and adults with chronic conditions by improving patient assessment tools and practices. In particular, our team of psychologists and psychometricians studies the science and practice of outcomes measurement in rehabilitation medicine. CHART is funded through multiple grants from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR), the Department of Defense (DoD), and private foundations.

Post Doctoral Researcher, Plant & Soil Science Georgetown
We are offering a unique opportunity for a Post-Doctoral Researcher to join a dynamic research program associated with University of Delaware and USDA-Beltsville. This person will be joining an USDA-ARS project titled: “An integrated pest management approach to addressing the multiple herbicide-resistant weed epidemic.” This project involves a multidisciplinary team (weed scientists, ecologists, soil scientists, economists and social scientists) focused on increasing the adoption of integrated weed management (IWM). The candidate will be examining the effects of cover crops, tillage, and harvest-time weed seed control on weed communities across a range of environments. The candidate will also be involved with the application of machine vision/learning on weed recognition and its applicability to an integrated weed management program. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of project development, experimental design and execution, personnel management and dissemination of results to a wide variety of audiences using many different formats and strategies of communication. This person will contribute significantly to the production of all documented material of the project (e.g., reports to the funding agency, peer-reviewed scientific publications, extension bulletins and materials), including writing content, editing/proofreading, or interfacing with contractors accomplishing these tasks.
