The Department of Business Administration in the Alfred Lerner College of Business and Economics at the University of Delaware invites applications for a continuing-track position in Marketing. Successful candidates will demonstrate the drive and vision to develop an innovative, cutting-edge instructional program and a commitment to scholarly research.
Teaching load is typically a maximum of six courses per year with potential reductions for research productivity and service. This is a permanent position, renewable with increasing contract renewal lengths (starting at two years and moving up to five-year renewals). There is no promotion requirement with this position though there are opportunities for promotion in rank. Research support in the College is excellent, including the availability of research and teaching assistants; access to databases (e.g., WRDS); and opportunities to apply for research grants. Salary, benefits, teaching load, and research support are highly competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Candidates must possess a Ph.D in marketing or related area or be ABD with completion expected prior to joining and be committed to publishing articles in peer-reviewed or higher-tier journals in the field. Candidates who currently hold appointments at other institutions are strongly encouraged to apply. Ideal candidates will have a record of excellent teaching in undergraduate and/or graduate courses and of publishing in peer-reviewed or higher-tier journals.
