The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the University of Delaware (UDEL) invites applications for a tenure-track position. The University of Delaware combines a rich historic legacy in science and engineering with a commitment to undergraduate education and scholarly excellence. With external funding exceeding $200 million, the University ranks among the top 100 universities in federal R&D support. The appointment can be made at any rank commensurate with accomplishments. The Department has active undergraduate and graduate programs and a diverse portfolio of research in the areas of computer engineering; nanoelectronics, electromagnetics and photonics; and signal processing, communications and controls. We will consider exceptional candidates in all ECE areas, with particular interest in candidates whose primary research expertise is in energy systems, power electronics, cyber science, machine learning and information sciences or biomedical technology.

Applicants should have a Ph.D. in electrical or computer engineering or a closely related field. Applicants at the assistant professor level are expected to show significant potential to develop an internationally recognized funded research program. Applicants at higher ranks should possess a distinguished record of scholarship. The successful candidate is also expected to hold great promise for teaching excellence.
