Postdoctoral Research Software Engineer for AICoE

The Postdoctoral Research Software Engineer (RSE) is a full-time fully funded position for 2 years (starting ASAP) according to the standard terms of postdoctoral research contracts at UD including benefits and competitive salary based on qualifications. You will be part of the newly established Artificial Intelligence Center of Excellence (AICoE) funded by Unidel Foundation that has been recently funded.

What is AICoE?

The new AICoE center promises to unlock a wave of new sensor applications in nearly every part of our modern economy, including in our cities, vehicles, homes, and a wide range of other “intelligent” systems, beyond big data and data science. Enabled by the advances in computer processing capabilities and large data sets from diverse new sensor technologies, AI is concerned with methods for not only understanding data, but for developing autonomous systems that can learn from it and make decisions and/or inferences difficult for humans. Hence a focus of the AICoE is the unique alliance of computer algorithms and high performance computing (HPC), harnessing big data, and the ability to create true partnerships with application areas enabling AI application advances and distinguishing UD from others in this field.
