The Manager provides counsel on research administration matters with college research expenditures totaling approximately $60M. The Manager leads a team of Grants Analysts who provide service for all post-award activities of contracts and grants administration and maintains productive relationships with constituencies related to the contracts and grants operation in the College. The Speech-Language Pathology Clinical Fellow provides a unique and supportive 13-month experience, designed to mentor excellent new professionals who are dedicated to serving children in a variety of settings. Under the direction of the Director of Clinical Research and Services and the mentorship of a dedicated team of seasoned speech-language pathologists, the Clinical Fellow (referred to hereafter as “Fellow”) will screen, evaluate, and treat communication and swallowing disorders in children in their home and school environments, as well as in the outpatient clinic setting. The Fellow will collaborate with colleagues in CSCD, UD Health, and the community to develop comprehensive and effective treatment plans which support patients and their care partners. In addition to clinical care, the Fellow will have regular access to on site, high-quality mentorship, including weekly meetings, opportunities to audit coursework related to their caseload, leadership development training, access to departmental continuing education, cutting edge evidence-based research, a world class library of assessment and treatment materials, and support to transition to a more permanent position following the completion of their clinical fellowship. At the completion of the program, the Fellow will have experience with a diverse range of clinical populations and settings, a strong foundation in best practices for pediatric assessment and intervention, and a network of supportive colleagues who are dedicated to their continued professional success.

The Disaster Research Center at the University of Delaware seeks a postdoctoral scholar to work on an NSF Coastlines and People project: Coastal Hazards, Equity, Economic prosperity, and Resilience (CHEER). The scholar will engage with a diverse team of researchers, postdoctoral scholars, and graduate students from a dozen universities, including the Cornell University, Boston University, University of Florida, University of California Los Angeles, University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, East Carolina University, North Carolina State University, University of Oklahoma, Texas A&M, and SUNY Stony Brook. The scholar will be primarily advised by Drs. Joseph Trainor and A.R. Siders, at the University of Delaware, and the scholar will be primarily based in Newark, Delaware, but there are opportunities to spend time at partner universities and the scholar will be expected to spend some time in the field in our case study locations. The scholar will support research to understand government and household decision-making processes, criteria, and outcomes related to hurricanes, floods, and climate adaptation. The ideal candidate will be able to communicate across disciplines; be familiar with research methods including interviews, surveys, and legal analysis; and serve as an independent scholar and mentor within the team. Candidates should have a PhD in sociology, public policy, disaster science, geography, or a related field.
