The Center for Health Assessment Research and Translation (CHART) at the University of Delaware (udel.edu/chart) has an opening (start summer 2023) for a full-time research associate to assist our research faculty and scientists in carrying out grant-funded research projects. The Center aims to improve the quality of healthcare and quality of life for rehabilitation populations and individuals with traumatic injury by improving patient assessment tools and practices. In particular, our team of psychologists and psychometricians studies the science and practice of outcomes measurement. CHART is funded through grants from the National Institutes of Health, the U.S. Department of Defense, and private foundations.

Program Coordinator, OLLI (Wilmington Campus) Wilmington
Osher Lifelong Learning at the Wilmington campus is a membership organization which, in cooperation with the Division of Professional and Continuing Studies, provides opportunities for cultural and intellectual development for individuals age 50 and older. OLLI-W delivers over 600 classes annually to approximately 3000 dues-paying members and has an annual operating budget of $1.7M. Membership currently includes working and retired faculty, educators, lawyers, doctors, accountants, musicians, engineers, industry chemists among many others. Arsht Hall serves as the home for the OLLI-W program. Under the general direction of the Director, the Program Coordinator works closely with the Institute’s Curriculum Committee to oversee the development, implementation, and administration of this dynamic non-credit program, with more than 250 enthusiastic, creative, and energetic volunteer instructors teaching each fall and spring semester and during summer session. Responsible for in-person curriculum, housed in Wilmington and Newark, the Wilmington program coordinator will work in collaboration with a program coordinator in Kent/Sussex Counties and an online program coordinator. Program management, employee management and experience with customer service or senior populations, coupled with exceptional customer service skills are necessary for a candidate to be successful in this position. The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at the University of Delaware in Kent and Sussex Counties is a year-round membership cooperative providing in-person and online lifelong learning courses and programming for the educational, cultural and intellectual benefit of roughly 500 members, from age 50 and up, with an average age of 73. The College of Health Sciences at the University of Delaware seeks an experienced, innovative, and highly motivated open-rank, continuing track (non-tenure) faculty appointment (9-month) for the Biostatistics Core, based in the award-winning Epidemiology Program. The position requires expertise in using statistical software including SAS and R, and the successful candidate will be expected to teach courses in epidemiology, research design, and biostatistics. The candidate should specialize in biostatistics or advanced qualitative methods, possess an expertise spanning a range of research designs and analytic techniques including experimental and non-experimental design, advanced modeling, logistical data analysis, and Bayesian methods. The primary responsibilities also include working collaboratively with CHS faculty by providing expert biostatistical and methodological guidance in the design, conduct, analysis and interpretation of data from grants/studies in basic, translational, clinical, and/or population science research, which may include adapting or developing new methods to address novel design and analysis issues that arise. The candidate must have an earned PhD, DrPH, or ScD in biostatistics, epidemiology, data analytics or a closely related quantitatively focused field from an accredited school or program of public health.
