The Assistant Director for QSE MS programs will be responsible for coordinating and executing the MS education program. The University of Delaware (UD) has launched a new graduate degree program in Quantum Science and Engineering (QSE). This program is training M.S. and Ph.D. students with the skills required to develop hardware and software that enables devices that leverage quantum phenomena to improve sensing, computation, and simulation capabilities. Led by Prof. Nektarios Tsoutsos, the Trustworthy Computing Group specializes in the broader areas of cybersecurity, applied cryptography, computer architecture, hardware security, and encrypted computation. The post-doctoral researcher will take the lead in research projects supported by the National Science Foundation to advance the performance and usability of modern cryptographic primitives (such as homomorphic encryption, zero-knowledge proofs, and multi-party computation), address challenges in hardware security, and develop novel solutions to advance the field of cybersecurity. |

The Administrative Assistant III, under general supervision, is responsible for performing complex secretarial and administrative tasks for student academic enrichment initiatives managed by the Student Development & Support unit and the RISE unit within Engineering Undergraduate Education.
The Administrative Assistant III plays a key role in coordinating a variety of programs and services aimed at enhancing the educational and personal development of all COE students. These efforts include support for established programs, such as the RISE academic and summer programs, and new programs such as the DSU-Summer Engineering Research Experience (SERE), the COE REU collaborative, and the COE Living Learning Community (LLC).
The position requires a high level of independent judgment, initiative and strong problem-solving abilities, along with excellent technical skills.
