Assistant Professor (Continuing Track), Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry (https://www.chem.udel.edu/), in the College of Arts and Sciences, invites applications for a continuing track (CT) assistant professor-level position in Chemistry and Biochemistry, starting August 16, 2025. This position offers a strong, supportive setting for a teaching-intensive role in the environment of an active research department with robust undergraduate and graduate programs. The successful candidate will have expertise in teaching introductory chemistry classes to chemistry and biochemistry majors and non-majors, including core concepts in introductory chemistry. The ability to impact other areas of the department’s curriculum for undergraduate students is desirable. Successful applicants will share our vision to be a department that is nationally recognized for high impact research and for delivering exceptional education across the chemical sciences. Post Doctoral Fellow - The Hadden Lab Newark/Hybrid
The Hadden Lab (https://sites.udel.edu/jhadden/) in the Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry at the University of Delaware is seeking a postdoctoral fellow. The Hadden Lab specializes in molecular dynamics simulations of viral proteins and their assemblies, particularly capsids. Beyond serving simply as structural components of viruses, capsids actively participate in the viral infection cycle and represent promising drug targets.
Post Doctoral Researcher, Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering and GSK Newark
The Post Doctoral Researcher will work with Prof. Norman Wagner of the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering of the University of Delaware along with scientists from an industrial sponsor (GSK) to establish conditions under which difficulties occur in the syringability of suspensions characteristic of injectable formulations and develop methods to mitigate such issues. This will be achieved in part through rheological, microfluidic, rheo-SALS/SAS/SANS and allied methods development and implementation. General strategies to reduce the viscosity of highly concentrated suspensions will be explored. This is a one-year industrially funded project to be performed at the University of Delaware, with the possibility of extension.

Limited Term Researcher, Biological Sciences (Shao Lab) Newark
The Shao Lab (https://shaolab.bio.udel.edu/) in the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Delaware is seeking a Limited Term Researcher. Under the general direction of the Principal Investigator, the Limited Term Researcher will participate in research to identify mechanisms underlying reward related behaviors. A wide range of experiments involving behavioral, imaging, molecular, genetic, and biochemical approaches in fruit fly Drosophila melanogaster will be carried out. The Limited Term Researcher will maintain a notebook describing experimental methods and results, participate in research discussions, and interpret research results. This NIH funded position offers the opportunity for motivated candidates to gain technical and leadership skills in a growing lab at UD.
