This NP/PA will provide Sexual and Reproductive Health and gynecologic services on an outpatient basis, including gynecologic procedures, contraception, LARCs, STI screening, menstrual conditions, and more.

The particular skill set needed to advance the intersection of these fields requires extensive familiarity with experimental and computational analysis of soil communities, ecological theory, and familiarity with machine learning. We expect to train the post-doctoral researcher to advance them quickly to the frontier of microbial synthetic biology, particularly in the areas of engineered soil bacteria and biological containment. With such a trainee in the lab, these research directions could flourish to new heights, enabling further funding from USDA, FFAR, DARPA, and NSF funding agencies, which are all interested in this topic. The Department of Linguistics and Cognitive Science at the University of Delaware invites applications for a temporary assistant professor or instructor to support the department's teaching and advising needs. The appointment is expected to begin on January 16, 2025, and will run until August 31, 2026, with the possibility of renewal for up to a maximum of three years. The primary responsibility of this position is to support the department’s undergraduate teaching needs in speech-language pathology. The successful candidate will be expected to teach a minimum of three courses per semester from the following list: Introduction to Speech and Hearing Science; First Language Development; Anatomy and Physiology of Speech and Hearing; Introduction to Communication Disorders in Childhood; Introduction to Communication Disorders in Adulthood, and Clinical Principles and Procedures in Speech-Language Pathology. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and is also expected to contribute to diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts within the department and the university.
The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree or a Ph.D. in speech-language pathology, or a related field. A Ph.D. as well as clinical certification in speech-language pathology (CCC-SLP) and prior teaching experience are preferred.

The University of Delaware’s Department of Physics and Astronomy seeks an Assistant Professor (tenure track) in the area of space physics, who would be initially supported by the NSF’s Faculty Development in geoSpace Science (FDSS) program. We seek creative and innovative individuals who are eager to work in a collaborative and interdisciplinary research environment and become leaders in their fields. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated background in heliophysics, space physics, or plasma physics, and a PhD degree and postdoctoral experience in physics or a related discipline. We seek a candidate with a strong background in space plasma physics observations, including magnetic reconnection, turbulence, and particle energization in the heliosphere. Of particular interest are candidates with expertise in analyzing global scale phenomena, dynamics at magnetohydrodynamic scales, and/or kinetic processes – especially using advanced methodologies (e.g., multi-spacecraft analysis). Current faculty are involved with multiple current/future in-situ missions (Wind, Parker Solar Probe, Solar Orbiter, and ACE), multi-spacecraft missions (MMS and HelioSwarm), remote-sensing missions (PUNCH and IMAP), and ground observatories (neutron monitors).
