Fire Suppression Technician Newark
The Fire Suppression Technician performs skilled work in the areas of legally required testing and service of fire suppression systems and associated electronic/electrical signaling components throughout the University’s facilities. Using both preventive and applied maintenance techniques, independently performs testing and service of fire suppression systems including but not limited to fire pumps, standpipe systems, flow and tamper switching devices as required by prevailing national, state, and local codes.  Maintains all equipment in a safe operating manner and in accordance with the manufacturer’s requirements.
Access Control Technician Newark
The Access Control Technician performs skilled work at the journeyman level of electronic access control systems for all campus buildings and other assigned areas.  Installs, maintains, programs, and troubleshoots electronic card access systems and/or operating errors. Maintains access and alarm system interfaces as well as other custom applications such as CCTV.

Assistant Director, Disaster Research Center Newark
The Assistant Director at the Disaster Research Center works independently to manage the day-to-day operations and fiscal affairs of the Center and supervise nonexempt and exempt employees. The Center for Counseling and Student Development (CCSD) is a multi-disciplinary, comprehensive student learning and psychological wellbeing program providing a diverse array of services so that students can be more successful in their academic, personal, and career pursuits. The CCSD is accredited by the International Accreditation of Counseling Services (IACS) and sponsors three levels of doctoral level training for psychologists including an America Psychological Association (APA)accredited doctoral internship. The focus of CCSD is on helping students reduce psychological symptoms, cope with complicated life events and developmental tasks, improve interpersonal skills and relationships, and increase self-knowledge and problem-solving ability. CCSD promotes equality and respect for individual and cultural differences, focuses on diversity and inclusion, and encourages on-going education regarding issues faced by students in minoritized groups. CCSD is part of the Division of Student Life which contributes to and facilitates critical learning and development within healthy, inclusive, and supportive communities so that all students may thrive at UD and beyond. Under the limited direction of the CCSD Director, the Care Coordinator maintains a multi-faceted system for managing and overseeing the referrals of students who are deemed to be better served by mental health practitioners outside of CCSD. Recommendations for referrals are initiated by CCSD staff who engage over 2,000 students annually through clinical work; traditionally 15-20% of these students are referred at some point of treatment. The Care Coordinator follows up with referred students regarding the outcome and satisfaction of the referrals, assists when additional help is requested, and maintains an online database of local referrals.
