Tenure-Track Assistant Professor, Behavioral Health and Nutrition Newark
The Department of Behavioral Health and Nutrition (BHAN) in the College of Health Sciences (CHS) at the University of Delaware (UD) seeks an innovative and highly motivated candidate for a 9-month, Assistant Professor level, tenure-track faculty appointment in the Health Behavior Science program, focusing on cardiovascular health, to join an award-winning faculty. The candidate must have earned a doctoral degree (e.g., Ph.D or equivalent) and have postdoctoral and/or faculty experience in a relevant field such as biobehavioral health, physiology, or a related field. The candidate is expected to establish an active program of research and examine the intersection of physiological, biological, and behavioral health with an emphasis on cardiovascular and metabolic health. Primary responsibilities include leading a nationally visible, extramural-funded research program; teaching undergraduate and graduate courses such as research methods, data analysis, and/or chronic disease management; supervising master’s and doctoral students; and contributing to service activities within and outside of the University. Chairperson, Communication Sciences and Disorders Newark
The College of Health Sciences at the University of Delaware seeks applications for the position of Chair of the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders. The College seeks candidates who possess strong leadership ability and can articulate a bold vision for the advancement of our Department, aligning with the university’s broader mission for excellence (https://www.udel.edu/about/leadership/strategic-plan/). The Chair is expected to effectively manage administrative and budgetary responsibilities, while maintaining our existing collaborative partnerships within an interdisciplinary healthcare community. The position is open to faculty who have obtained the rank of Associate or Full professorship. A doctorate is required, and ASHA CCCs are strongly preferred. Tenure Track Faculty Position, Physical Therapy Newark
The Department of Physical Therapy at the University of Delaware invites applications for an open rank faculty position. Appointments are for a nine-month academic year. We seek a clinical scientist with strong research training, a commitment to professional and graduate education, and effective interpersonal skills. Research focus can be in any area relevant to Physical Therapy. The candidate should have an earned research doctorate in a related field, have post-doctoral research training, be eligible for licensure as a physical therapist in Delaware, and possess a strong desire to develop and conduct a nationally and internationally recognized research program. The successful candidate will contribute to the Department’s teaching efforts in the DPT Program and in the Interdisciplinary Graduate Program in Biomechanics and Movement Science (BIOMS) in his or her area of expertise. Research Associate I, Center for Health Assessment Research and Translation (CHART) Newark
The Center for Health Assessment Research and Translation (CHART) at the University of Delaware is looking for a full-time Research Associate I to assist our research faculty and scientists in carrying out grant-funded research projects. The Center aims to improve the quality of healthcare and quality of life for children and adults with chronic conditions by improving patient assessment tools and practices. In particular, our team of psychologists and psychometricians studies the science and practice of outcomes measurement in rehabilitation medicine. CHART is funded through multiple grants from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR), the Department of Defense (DoD), and private foundations.
