Tenure Track Assistant Professor, Department of Physics and Astronomy	Newark
The University of Delaware’s Department of Physics and Astronomy seeks an Assistant Professor (tenure track) in the area of space physics, who would be initially supported by the NSF’s Faculty Development in geoSpace Science (FDSS) program. We seek creative and innovative individuals who are eager to work in a collaborative and interdisciplinary research environment and become leaders in their fields. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated background in heliophysics, space physics, or plasma physics, and a PhD degree and postdoctoral experience in physics or a related discipline. We seek a candidate with a strong background in space plasma physics observations, including magnetic reconnection, turbulence, and particle energization in the heliosphere. Of particular interest are candidates with expertise in analyzing global scale phenomena, dynamics at magnetohydrodynamic scales, and/or kinetic processes – especially using advanced methodologies (e.g., multi-spacecraft analysis). Current faculty are involved with multiple current/future in-situ missions (Wind, Parker Solar Probe, Solar Orbiter, and ACE), multi-spacecraft missions (MMS and HelioSwarm), remote-sensing missions (PUNCH and IMAP), and ground observatories (neutron monitors). Communications Manager, Center for Disabilities Studies	Newark/Hybrid
The Communications Manager has primary responsibility for the management of the CDS Communications Team, including supervision of the full-time Digital Content Specialist and engagement with UD graduate students and miscellaneous wage personnel. The Communications Manager works in collaboration with CEHD’s Communications Director and Team to ensure that the Center’s marketing and communications re appropriately optimized and aligned with UD policies and best practices for consumption by a variety of audiences, including national, state and local constituencies.

The Director, Member Relations and Communications role leads the business development and marketing and communications teams and is responsible for developing strategy and leading the implementation and execution of priorities to ensure NIIMBL long-term financial sustainability.
Junior Marine Engineer*	Lewes
The Junior Marine Engineer / AB performs skilled work to ensure the power plant and auxiliary machinery aboard the ship is operating properly, performing routine maintenance, and assisting with emergency repairs to keep the ship on mission projects. They also maintain cleanliness and perform preservation of engineering and other spaces aboard ship. As AB they will support deck operations and maintenance underway or in port. The SHARP is a highly technical research vessel with numerous electronic controls and a twin azimuth-drive propulsion system. When standing watch as Duty Engineer, the Junior Marine Engineer is responsible for monitoring all engineering systems and operating deck equipment while the Chief or Assistant Chief Engineer is off duty. Independent judgment and initiative are required in ensuring safety of personnel and equipment while operating deck equipment and detecting and reacting to problems with engineering systems or to emergency situations.
Research Associate III, Electrical and Computer Engineering	Newark

Post Doctoral Researcher, Phonological Learning and Speech Production	Newark
The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Delaware is seeking candidate for a postdoctoral researcher position in laboratories (https://sites.udel.edu/maps-lab/, https://sites.udel.edu/brainspeak/) focused on phonological learning and speech production (PIs: Drs. Sayako Earle and Ho Ming Chow). This position is 100% research with an ample opportunity to develop teaching skill. The successful candidate will be responsible to carry out advanced neuroimaging analyses on existing fMRI data and develop new experiments using various behavioral, neuroimaging, and neuromodulation techniques (fMRI, DTI, simultaneous EEG-fMRI, tACS, fNIRS). Salary is competitive and is set by the University rules depending on level of training. Initial appointment is for one year with possible renewal contingent upon satisfactory performance and available funding. The position has a starting date of July 1, 2024

Nanofabrication Facilities play a central and essential role in most modern science and engineering research programs as researchers from a wide variety of disciplines realize the opportunities available at the nanoscale. The primary objective of the facility is to enable UD to attract and retain top caliber faculty and to provide the infrastructure necessary to enable existing and new faculty and researchers in the tri-state area and beyond to undertake competitive research and development in the growing number of fields that rely on nanofabrication.
