Under the general direction of the Principal Investigator, the Limited Term Researcher will participate in research to identify mechanisms underlying reward related behaviors. A wide range of experiments involving behavioral, imaging, molecular, genetic, and biochemical approaches in fruit fly Drosophila melanogaster will be carried out. The Limited Term Researcher will maintain a notebook describing experimental methods and results, participate in research discussions, and interpret research results. The University of Delaware invites applications for a full-time theoretical posdoc position with the Department of Physics and Astronomy. The postdoc will work in the group of Prof. Marianna Safronova. The primary task will be exploring novel ideas on searches for dark matter and other physics beyond the Standard Model with quantum sensors, including development of quantum algorithms for atomic clocks and other quantum sensors and development of concepts for space missions with quantum technologies for fundamental physics studies. The postdoc position is associated with collaborative QuSeC-TAQS: Novel Quantum Algorithms for Optical Atomic Clocks NSF project and an NSF Quantum Leap Challenge Institute (Q-SEnSE: Quantum Systems through Entangled Science and Engineering, https://www.colorado.edu/research/qsense). The postdoc will be expected to collaborate with other Q-SEnSE Institute and QuSeC-TAQS members. Position requirements: Ph. Areas of Specialization: Epistemology or philosophy of mind. Areas of Competence: Open, but the ideal candidate would have teaching competence in one or more of the following areas: logic, the philosophical implications of AI, or topics at the intersection of social/political philosophy and mind/epistemology/language (e.g., epistemic injustice, free speech, propaganda, social ontology). The successful candidate will be a dedicated teacher and have an existing or emerging record of strong scholarship, as well as a robust forward-looking research agenda. They will be joining an undergraduate-only department that prizes excellence in both teaching and research. The typical teaching load is five courses per year. In addition to standard introductory-level service teaching, the successful candidate will regularly teach philosophy of mind and/or theory of knowledge for philosophy and cognitive science students. Though not required, an interest in public philosophy would be an asset.

Candidates should have native or near-native fluency in both English and Spanish, a record of excellence in teaching with a minimum of two academic years of college-level teaching experience in Spanish as the instructor of record, and familiarity with communicative language instruction. The new hire will teach all levels of Spanish and demonstrate an interest in teaching and/or developing Spanish for Special Purposes, Translation, or Interpretation courses. Assistant Professor (Continuing Track), Department of Linguistics and Cognitive Science The Department of Linguistics and Cognitive Science at the University of Delaware invites applications for a Continuing Track Assistant Professor in Language and Communication Disorders. The appointment is expected to begin on August 16, 2025. The primary responsibilities of this position are to teach and mentor undergraduate students in Cognitive Science and Speech-Language Pathology, and to participate in departmental and university-wide service. Primary teaching duties would include courses for the Speech-Language Pathology specialization in the Cognitive Science major and/or related courses for the Cognitive Science major (e.g., Neurobiology of Language, Topics in Cognitive Science, etc.) The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and is also expected to contribute to diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts within the department and the university.
